Do I Have to be on Staff with CCC to Attend IBS?

No. Although IBS has been designed with the needs of Campus Crusade staff in mind, it is not limited to those on staff with CCC. Others are welcome to participate as well.

Can I come for a shorter period of time?

If you are interested in attending IBS but cannot come all four weeks, you may want to consider coming for two weeks. (Note: Campus Staff who have been assigned to IBS are required to attend all four weeks.)

What are the dates?

Lasting only four weeks, IBS is one of the shortest summer assignments in the Campus Ministry. For summer 2010 (Orlando), classes begin on Monday, June 21 and end on Friday, July 16, 2010.

How does the Orlando IBS differ from the Colorado IBS?

In many ways the Orlando IBS is no different from the Fort Collins IBS. The course length is identical (two weeks). The course format is the same (two hours per day).  Respected professors teach at both locations. There are several differences:

  • Orlando IBS is less expensive than the Fort Collins IBS.
Especially if you know someone who lives in Orlando with whom you can stay.
  • Orlando IBS course sizes are smaller.
Providing greater opportunity to interact with your professors
both in and outside of class.
  • Orlando IBS offers less electives than the Fort Collins IBS.
However, all of the core IBS courses are offered.
  • Orlando IBS starts two weeks later than the Fort Collins IBS.
Because classes do not start till June 21, you will have almost two months to work on MPD or other projects before you come.

Where will IBS be held?

IBS will be held on the campus of Rollins College.
Rollins College is located in Winter Park, Florida (Orlando suburb).

Can I receive graduate credit for IBS Courses?

Any of the eleven core courses can be taken for graduate credit. Electives cannot be taken for graduate credit.

How does the $225 tuition rebate work?

This summer we are offering a $225 tuition rebate to anyone who successfully completes any four of the eleven required IBS core courses. This is effectively a 25% discount in the course of your IBS classes. Information about the tuition rebate, including the tuition rebate form, can be found in the information packet for download. (Note: If scheduling limitiations prohibit you from taking four core courses, you are not eligible for the rebate.)

What are the IBS requirements for CCC Staff?

All Campus Ministry and Jesus Film staff are required to complete the eleven core courses. Other CCC ministries may have slightly different theological development requirements.
