How were these seminaries chosen?
Several criteria
shaped our choice of these schools including (1) ability to support
our education vision of theological training in the context of
ongoing ministry, (2) compatibility with our statement of faith,
(3) geography and (4) historic relationship to our ministry.
Will more partners be added in the future?
At
this point we have no plans to add additional partners at this
point. The unique nature of our partnerships significantly
limits the number of schools we can partner.
What if there is no partner seminary near me?
Even
if you do not live close to one of our partners there is much
that you can take advantage of. Several of
our partners offer modular courses in a compressed time format. You
might consider traveling to a campus during the summer and
taking a one week intensive course (RTS, for example, offers
one week courses in January and throughout the summer). Second,
you might consider taking an independent study course for
graduate credit. Each of our partners offers at least
a dozen independent study courses. It may also be the
case that your best option is another seminary in proximity
to you. At least one of our partners offers an entire
degree program that can be done online.
I didn't receive graduate credit for my IBS courses. Can I get credit retroactively?
The decision to receive graduate credit for IBS courses must be made BEFORE the end of Drop/Add. It is not possible to receive credit retroactively for IBS courses taken in the past.
How can I find out what the discounted tuition rate
is
for CCC staff at one of the partner schools?
Click here to download the discounted tuition rates for each
partnership school.
Which IBS courses can be taken for graduate credit
through
one of these five seminaries?
Any of the
eleven IBS core courses can be taken for graduate credit.
How can I obtain a transcript of IBS coursework completed
through
one of these partner schools?
You can obtain
a transcript by contacting the records office at the school
from which you received credit. Do not
contact IBS as we cannot provide that.
